Hi. I’m Chad.
Seriously, thank you for being here.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always found myself in leadership roles.
Before my professional career started, it was leading in sports, school, and the odd jobs that teenage kids have.
It wasn’t always formal leadership with a title, it often happened organically.
While still in school, I took an internship at Portent, a marketing agency based in Seattle. Long story short, during my 10+ years there, I went on to create a service line from scratch that generated seven figures of revenue for the agency, built high-performing service teams from the group up, led as the number two in the agency as the right hand to Portent’s founder, and then in my final four years with the agency, led the team from the front.
After leading through all of the on paper success metrics any agency could hope for and navigating three M&A rounds in three years, it was time for me to move on and try something different. Leaving Portent was the most difficult decision of my professional career to date.
I learned so much during my time at Portent. Most importantly, I learned that when you take care of your people, they’ll take care of your business. That is easier said than done, and ultimately, my curiosity for building high-performing teams through organizational culture and talent strategy brought me to the work I do now.
Today, I come alongside destination organization executive leaders to help solve their people and culture challenges. Those problems, and the real work that leaders must navigate to earn a great organizational culture, is at the forefront of my why.
The work is difficult. It’s thought provoking. It’s rewarding. And I love doing it.
The best part? When real, meaningful, and positive organizational change happens through the work those leaders see through. I count it as a true privilege to come alongside the executive leaders I support to shape their approach and their organizations, and the values which guide my work is shaped by my commitment to those I partner with.
When I’m not working, I’m probably at home in Seattle with my family.
And while being with my young and growing family brings me a level of joy I’ve never experienced before, I’m at my happiest and calmest when my heartbeat is over 140 beats per minute: running, cycling, skiing, hiking, and golfing as often as I can across the West.
Seriously, thank you for being here.
It means more than you know.
